Faseela

Sustainable agriculture & food innovation for the Middle East.
The name "Faseela" represents the beginning of something new — a new generation of ideas growing from the roots of Oman's date-palm heritage.
Introduction
Faseela (فصيلة) is an Omani circular-economy business tackling date-industry waste — around 25% of Oman's dates (40–50K tons a year) go to waste, while palm-leaf burning causes 3–4% of the country's emissions. Every part of the date palm gets used: low-grade dates become bioethanol, date sugar/syrup and gourmet confections; date seeds become powder packaging, cold-pressed oil, "coffee" and bioplastic cups; palm leaves become handwoven baskets instead of smoke. The ecosystem includes a bilingual farm-to-consumer e-commerce platform connecting Omani farmers to buyers (with variety customisation across Khalas, Fard, Khasab and Naghal and gourmet fillings), a food and beverage line, a date-seed skincare line, zero-waste compostable packaging, and "The Date Bin" — an IoT recycling bin built on a Raspberry Pi with ultrasonic sensors that rewards people with one digital credit per date seed, redeemable for Faseela products.
