Omega Sequence
A multi-layer prime-modified framework for cryptographic applications.
Six number-theoretic layers, one golden ratio.
Introduction
The Omega Sequence is effectively a sequel paper that takes the Catalacci idea and turns it into a full cryptographic framework by stacking six different number-theoretic detection layers instead of just one. Each layer contributes its own boost when the running sum Z = Ω(n-1) + Ω(n-2) satisfies a condition: Prime — Z is prime (+1); Twin Prime — Z and Z+2 are both prime (+2); Sophie Germain — Z and 2Z+1 are both prime (+3); Prime Gap — the gap to the next prime exceeds the expected size (variable boost); Zeta Error — deviation from the expected prime-counting function π(x) exceeds a threshold (variable boost); and Quantum Phase — a sine-wave function of the sequence's position exceeds 0.9 (+1). Main theoretical result: even with six simultaneous, irregular boost conditions layered together, the limiting ratio Ω(n)/Ω(n-1) still converges to the golden ratio φ — the same core insight as the Catalacci paper, proven for a far more complex perturbation. The bulk of the paper treats Omega as a candidate for a cryptographically secure pseudorandom number generator. It includes a full Python implementation (an OmegaPRNG class) using PBKDF2 key derivation and the six-layer boost logic to generate random bytes, claimed performance of 2.4 MB/s key generation compared against ChaCha20's 3.1 MB/s, and security arguments tied to the Decisional Diffie–Hellman assumption, Yao's next-bit unpredictability test and linear complexity bounds. Proposed uses span post-quantum key encapsulation, quantum key distribution (BB84), and blockchain verifiable random functions. A comparison against Mersenne Twister, ChaCha20 and AES-CTR positions Omega as slower than hardware-optimised PRNGs but distinguished by a rigorous number-theoretic foundation and built-in quantum resistance arguments, alongside a results table claiming the generator passed all 15 NIST SP 800-22 statistical randomness tests.
